Kiss (stylized as: KISS) is an American hard rock band, which was formed in New York in 1973. They have released twenty studio albums and sold over one hundred million copies worldwide.
The group is known for their image on stage, where they wear make-up creating a different image for each member, for which they have stated that the choice was made by their fans and according to characterizations that had been made of their personality one at a time.
KISS is one of the most influential bands in history, with various bands and musicians inspired by them, including Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, Pantera, Guns ‘N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan, guitarist Slipknot, Mick Thompson and many more.
