He was born on January 5, 1969 in Canton, Ohio. He is known for his controversial stage presence as the lead singer of the band Marilyn Manson, his eccentric profile and his sarcastic music. He is a member of his self-titled band, which he co-founded with Daisy Berkowitz. His nickname comes from the combination of two other names, actress Marilyn Monroe and Charles Manson, who was a serial killer and rapist.
